Saint Charitini, athlete during the reign of Diocletian (284 – 305 AD). Saint Charitini, was a slave of the senator Claudius (or Claudius).
In 304 A.D. some people denounced her to Dometian as a Christian and he summoned her for questioning in the presence of her master.
When the Saint confessed her faith in Christ, she was subjected to horrible tortures. They shaved her head but miraculously, her head immediately grew back hair.
Then they put her head on burning coals and pour vinegar over it. Then they burn her ribs with lighted candles, and with a stone around her neck they throw her into the sea.
But again God saved her. Then she was ordered to go to a brothel. But Charitini prayed, and her pure soul was now surrendered to the life-giving God.
