Door openings in the Holy Chapel of Agia Marina Ammoudia, Serres

With the blessing and permission of His Eminence the Metropolitan of Sidirokastro Mr. Makarios in the spring of 2005 a prefabricated church was placed just outside the village of Ammoudia, near the cemetery, on the provincial road to the village of Karperi. The small church was donated by the family of Dimitrios H. Evangelidis in the parish of Agios Ioannis Prodromos Ammoudias, so that Agia and Megalomartys Marina is honored and celebrated.

With the help of God and the consent of His Eminence the Metropolitan of Sidirokastro Mr. Makarios in the spring of 2013 that small church was expanded with a donation from the family of Dimitrios H. Evangelidis and became a very beautiful chapel with a capacity of about sixty people, so that the Holy Communions can be performed more comfortably.

Thus, on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at 7:30 pm, with religious fervor, splendor and with the participation of the Holy Clergy and a large number of believers, the doors of the chapel of Agia Marina in Ammoudia, Serres were opened by His Eminence Metropolitan Sidirokastro in then performed the Episcopal Vespers and preached the Divine Word .. On the morning of Wednesday, July 17, on the day of the feast of St. Marina, a hierarchical divine service was performed by His Eminence the Metropolitan of Sidirokastro, Mr. Makarios.

In the afternoon of the same day, the worship part of the feast ended with the Meteor Festive Vespers, the Holy Prayer and the Greetings at Agia Megalomartyra Marina.

It is worth noting that the Holy Chapel of Agia Marina Ammoudia was built and fully equipped by the ecclesiastical company Evangelidis D. Elias, with a wood-carved iconostasis, a parachute, a mystery table, portable shrines, a pulpit, secular chairs, icons of hagiography, sacred church utensils and melodic sound bells.
